Dear Michelle Viljoen & Karoo Baba team. We were very happy with the quality of the A Grade South African Merino sheepskin itself — it’s beautiful and feels like a premium product.
However, the overall experience was let down by the packaging. Prior to dispatch, we specifically requested that extra care be taken with gift presentation, as the item was a farewell gift going directly to the recipient. Unfortunately, it arrived wrapped only in thin, torn unprinted newspaper, with little attention to detail, and even the ribbon appeared frayed.
For a high-value item, this was disappointing and didn’t reflect the quality of the product inside. Packaging is a key part of the client experience and plays a big role in how a gift — and the brand — is perceived.
We hope Karoo Baba will consider investing more care and thought into packaging and presentation, especially for premium items being shipped and for orders explicitly marked as gifts. This would go a long way in completing the customer experience and ensuring client satisfaction.
We would happily recommend the product itself, but the service and packaging experience could be improved.
